PB4L-SW

Lessons

"Teach them what you want them to do."

The Science of Behaviours has taught us;

  • Students are not born with bad behaviours

  • Students do not learn better ways of behaving when given only negative consequences.

  • To learn better ways of behaving, students must be given specific, positive feedback and opportunities to practise in a variety of settings.

We teach social behaviour because we know of the close connection between academic and social competence. Successful students and adults must have both.

We teach because it works!

School wide lesson focus' are decided by the PB4L team and always focus on a skill from the behaviour matrix eg:

  • Being equipped to learn

  • Contributing positively

  • Celebrating success

  • Accepting individual differences.
